Basel, Switzerland, October 7, 2026
Novartis is set to present an extensive body of new multiple sclerosis (MS) clinical data at MSToronto2026, the 10th Joint ACTRIMS-ECTRIMS Meeting, highlighting advances across its neuroscience portfolio. The company will present 46 abstracts, including late-breaking Phase III data from the REMODEL-1 and REMODEL-2 trials evaluating remibrutinib in relapsing multiple sclerosis (RMS). Additional presentations will provide new evidence for Kesimpta (ofatumumab) in pediatric MS, treatment-naïve patients with relapsing MS, pregnancy and breastfeeding. Together, the presentations demonstrate Novartis’ continued focus on developing treatment approaches for people living with MS across different stages of life and disease.
Novartis to Present Phase III Remibrutinib Data
A major highlight of Novartis’ MSToronto2026 program will be the late-breaking presentation of results from the Phase III REMODEL-1 and REMODEL-2 trials. The studies evaluate remibrutinib, an oral Bruton’s tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitor, in relapsing multiple sclerosis. The abstract, titled “Efficacy and Safety of Remibrutinib vs Teriflunomide in Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis,” is scheduled as an oral presentation on October 23. The data are intended to expand understanding of remibrutinib’s efficacy and safety profile in RMS. Novartis describes the presentation as an important milestone for its MS research program, as the company continues investigating new therapeutic approaches for people living with relapsing disease. The company will also host a virtual investor event following the REMODEL data presentation to discuss the findings and the potential role of remibrutinib in MS.
Kesimpta Data Expand Evidence Across MS Populations
New data for Kesimpta (ofatumumab) will provide additional evidence across several MS populations. A second late-breaking abstract will present Phase III NEOS study findings evaluating ofatumumab and siponimod versus fingolimod in pediatric multiple sclerosis, an area where treatment options remain limited. The company will also present final efficacy, safety and tolerability findings from the Phase IIIb STHENOS study, which compares ofatumumab with physicians’ choice of disease-modifying therapy in treatment-naïve people living with relapsing MS. These presentations are designed to expand the clinical evidence surrounding ofatumumab and its potential use across different patient populations. The MSToronto2026 program will also include research addressing pregnancy and breastfeeding considerations for women receiving ofatumumab. Interim results from the Phase IV KATHAROS study will examine ofatumumab excretion in breast milk, while additional findings from the PRIM study will provide evidence on pregnancy and infant outcomes following exposure to ofatumumab. These studies may provide information relevant to treatment discussions and family planning for people living with relapsing multiple sclerosis.
Novartis Strengthens Its Multiple Sclerosis Pipeline
Novartis’ broad MSToronto2026 presence reflects its ongoing commitment to multiple sclerosis research and neuroscience innovation. The company says its MS program is focused on addressing unmet needs and developing treatment options that may improve outcomes across the MS journey. By presenting data from remibrutinib alongside new evidence for Kesimpta, Novartis is advancing clinical research across relapsing MS, pediatric MS and treatment-naïve populations, while also investigating important treatment considerations during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The company’s 46 abstracts at MSToronto2026 provide a broad view of its current MS research activities, with the late-breaking REMODEL and NEOS presentations serving as key components of the scientific program.
