HDT Bio Corp. has received an ARPA-H GIVE award to lead the development of an automated, point-of-care manufacturing platform designed to support the rapid production of personalized RNA medicines. The award will support the company’s work on a new manufacturing approach intended to enable RNA-based therapeutics to be produced closer to the patient and potentially reduce the time and complexity associated with conventional centralized manufacturing. The initiative is focused on addressing key challenges in personalized medicine, where therapies may need to be manufactured in response to an individual patient’s specific disease characteristics. ARPA-H GIVE Program Targets RNA Manufacturing
The GIVE program, supported by the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), is focused on developing innovative approaches that can improve the accessibility, scalability, and responsiveness of biomedical technologies. HDT Bio’s award will support the development of an automated manufacturing platform specifically designed for personalized RNA medicines. Traditional pharmaceutical manufacturing generally relies on centralized facilities capable of producing medicines at large scale.
