LUGANO, Switzerland & MONTREAL, Canada, July 16, 2026
FarmaMondo Group has entered an exclusive commercial partnership with Cordex Biologics International, a wholly owned subsidiary of ExCellThera Inc., to expand global patient access to Zemcelpro® (dorocubicel), an advanced stem cell therapy for adults with high-risk blood cancers. Initially covering Singapore, Hong Kong, and Argentina, the collaboration will provide access through Named Patient Sales, enabling eligible patients with limited treatment options to receive the innovative therapy while broader regulatory approvals progress. The partnership combines FarmaMondo’s international expertise in specialty medicine commercialization with Cordex’s pioneering cell therapy platform to accelerate access to life-changing treatments for patients requiring allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation when no suitable matched donor is available. The agreement represents a significant step toward improving global access to advanced regenerative medicines in underserved healthcare markets.
Exclusive Partnership Broadens Access to Advanced Stem Cell Therapy
The new agreement establishes FarmaMondo as the exclusive commercialization partner for Zemcelpro® across the initial launch territories, leveraging the company’s expertise in regulatory affairs, market access, supply chain management, compliance, and specialty pharmaceutical distribution. Through a structured Named Patient Program, the partners aim to provide earlier access for patients with acute leukemias, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), and other high-risk hematological malignancies who lack suitable donor stem cells for transplantation. FarmaMondo will coordinate centralized regulatory and operational activities while supporting country-specific reimbursement and market access strategies to ensure ethical, compliant, and efficient delivery of the therapy. The collaboration addresses one of the major challenges facing advanced cell therapies—making innovative treatments available across geographically diverse healthcare systems while maintaining the highest standards of quality and patient safety.
Zemcelpro Offers New Hope for Patients with Blood Cancers
Zemcelpro® (dorocubicel) is a personalized hematopoietic stem cell transplantation therapy developed using ExCellThera’s proprietary UM171 stem cell expansion technology. The therapy consists of UM171-expanded CD34+ stem cells together with unexpanded supporting cells derived from a single umbilical cord blood unit, enabling transplantation for patients without suitable matched donors. The therapy recently received conditional marketing authorization from the European Commission for adults with hematological malignancies requiring allogeneic stem cell transplantation after myeloablative conditioning. Clinical studies involving more than 120 patients across North America and Europe have supported its development, while regulatory agencies including the U.S. FDA and European Medicines Agency (EMA) have granted important designations such as Orphan Drug, Regenerative Medicine Advanced Therapy (RMAT), Advanced Therapy Medicinal Product (ATMP), and PRIME, recognizing its potential to address serious unmet medical needs. A pivotal Phase 3 clinical trial is also planned to further evaluate the therapy in high-risk leukemia and myelodysplasia patients.
Strengthening Global Access to Innovative Cell Therapies
The partnership reflects a broader industry trend toward expanding access to advanced cell and gene therapies beyond traditional pharmaceutical markets. FarmaMondo specializes in helping biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies navigate complex regulatory, medical affairs, pricing, reimbursement, and supply chain requirements across emerging healthcare markets, ensuring patients receive innovative medicines through structured access pathways. For ExCellThera and Cordex, the collaboration supports the global commercialization strategy for Zemcelpro® while reinforcing the potential of the company’s UM171 stem cell expansion platform to transform regenerative medicine. As demand continues to grow for innovative therapies addressing rare and life-threatening diseases, strategic partnerships such as this play an increasingly important role in accelerating international patient access, improving treatment availability, and delivering meaningful clinical outcomes for individuals with limited therapeutic options worldwide.
