Shanghai and Hong Kong, October 2, 2026
Antengene Corporation Limited has announced that it will present new preclinical results from its proprietary costimulatory T-cell engager (Cos-TCE) platform at the 2026 Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona. The company’s research will be featured in a Rapid Oral Abstract Presentation on November 6, highlighting a novel CD2-based T-cell engager platform designed to combine costimulatory activity with targeted T-cell engagement. The presentation represents an important step in Antengene’s efforts to develop next-generation immunotherapies for cancer and other diseases with significant unmet medical needs.
Antengene to Present Novel CD2-Based Cos-TCE Platform
The featured research, titled “A CD2-based costimulatory T cell engager platform integrating a novel CD3γε/δε-targeting antibody and steric-hindrance-based CD3 masking,” will be presented by Dr. Bing Hou, Chief Scientific Officer of Antengene. The presentation, identified as abstract 15749, is scheduled for November 6 during the Rapid Oral – Basic 1 session at SITC 2026. The company says the platform is designed to incorporate multiple engineering features intended to improve the activity and therapeutic potential of T-cell engager molecules. T-cell engagers are a class of therapeutic molecules designed to bring T cells into close contact with target cells, enabling immune cells to recognize and eliminate diseased cells. Antengene’s new Cos-TCE approach adds a costimulatory component, with the goal of enhancing T-cell activation while maintaining controlled immune activity. The platform incorporates a CD2-based costimulatory mechanism together with a novel antibody targeting CD3γε/δε and a steric-hindrance strategy for CD3 masking. These design features are being investigated in preclinical studies to assess their potential advantages for next-generation immunotherapy development.
Platform Combines Multiple T-Cell Engineering Strategies
Antengene’s Cos-TCE research forms part of the company’s broader efforts to develop advanced T-cell engager technologies. Its proprietary AnTenGager® TCE 2.0 platform incorporates features including “2+1” bivalent binding for targets with lower expression levels, steric-hindrance masking and proprietary CD3 sequences with rapid on/off kinetics. The company says these characteristics are intended to support therapeutic activity while potentially helping manage cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and other challenges associated with T-cell engager therapies. The broader platform is being applied across several therapeutic areas, including solid tumors, hematological malignancies and autoimmune diseases. Antengene’s development pipeline includes T-cell engager programs targeting molecules such as CD19, CDH6, ALPPL2, LY6G6D, GPRC5D, LILRB4 and FLT3. The company has also developed other investigational modalities, including antibody-drug conjugates, bispecific antibodies and small-molecule therapies. The Cos-TCE platform could potentially expand the range of strategies available for activating immune cells against cancer. By combining target recognition, CD3 engagement and costimulatory signaling, researchers are investigating whether engineered T-cell engagers can achieve stronger or more controlled immune responses. However, the current findings are preclinical, and additional studies will be necessary to determine the platform’s safety, efficacy and suitability for clinical development.
Antengene Expands Immunotherapy Development Pipeline
Antengene is a global, research-driven biotechnology company focused on developing first-in-class and best-in-class therapies for diseases with significant unmet medical needs. Its pipeline spans programs from preclinical research through commercial-stage products, with a particular focus on oncology and autoimmune diseases. The company reports that it has obtained 35 investigational new drug approvals in the United States and Asia and new drug application approvals in 10 Asia-Pacific markets. The upcoming SITC 2026 presentation will provide the scientific community with additional information about Antengene’s novel Cos-TCE platform and its potential role in next-generation cancer immunotherapy. The company’s continued development of T-cell engager technologies reflects broader efforts across the biopharmaceutical industry to improve immune-cell activation, enhance tumor targeting and address limitations associated with existing immunotherapy approaches.
As Antengene progresses its preclinical research, future studies will determine whether the Cos-TCE platform can translate its laboratory findings into therapeutic candidates suitable for clinical development. The SITC presentation therefore represents an important opportunity to showcase the scientific rationale behind the platform and its potential contribution to the evolving field of T-cell-based cancer immunotherapy.
