Large-Scale Clinical Analysis Supports Comprehensive PCR Testing
The evidence supporting Seegene’s comprehensive testing approach is based on one of the largest internal analyses conducted using its STAgora™ statistical and clinical analytics platform. By evaluating approximately 60,000 real-world HPV and STI co-testing results, researchers identified a significant overlap between viral and bacterial reproductive tract infections. The study found that 82% of patients testing positive for HPV also carried one or more STI pathogens, while nearly half of STI-positive individuals also tested positive for HPV. Furthermore, 71% of all positive cases demonstrated simultaneous detection of both HPV and STI pathogens, emphasizing the importance of evaluating multiple infectious agents through a single molecular diagnostic test. These findings provide growing scientific support for adopting syndromic PCR testing, which enables simultaneous identification of multiple pathogens from one patient sample, improving diagnostic efficiency while reducing the possibility of missed or delayed diagnoses.
