WALTHAM, Mass. — September 24, 2026
Revvity, Inc. announced the launch of the GSP® T1D 3plex kit, a fully automated, multiplex autoantibody detection solution designed to support population-wide screening for children at risk of developing type 1 diabetes (T1D) before symptoms appear. The solution is CE-IVDR certified and uses capillary dried blood spot (DBS) samples processed on Revvity’s GSP® instrument. The company said the launch expands its screening portfolio from newborn health applications into early childhood T1D detection.
GSP T1D 3plex Enables Multiplex Autoantibody Detection
The GSP T1D 3plex kit is designed to detect three diabetes-associated autoantibodies using a high-throughput automated workflow. By using dried blood spots, the platform is intended to simplify sample collection and support scalable screening programs. Early identification of children at elevated risk of T1D may allow healthcare systems to monitor individuals before clinical symptoms develop and potentially facilitate earlier intervention and access to disease-modifying treatment where appropriate.
Solution Combines Reagents, Instrumentation and Software
Revvity’s solution combines reagents, GSP instrumentation and software into an integrated workflow designed for emerging national T1D screening programs. The company is expanding its diabetes portfolio across research, clinical testing and service models. Revvity will also present information on its T1D on-site installation and off-site testing service solutions at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) meeting in Milan from September 28 to October 2, including programs developed in collaboration with Sanofi.
GSP T1D 3plex Initially Available in Europe
The GSP T1D 3plex kit will initially be available in Europe and other markets that accept CE-marked IVD products. Revvity stated that the product is not cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The launch represents an expansion of Revvity’s established newborn screening capabilities into early childhood disease-risk detection, with the company positioning the platform as a scalable diagnostic workflow for population-level T1D screening initiatives.
