The alliance combines OTR Therapeutics’ proprietary research and development platform, scientific network, and early-stage drug development expertise with LG Chem’s global clinical development capabilities, regulatory expertise, and commercial infrastructure to create an integrated pathway for advancing promising oncology assets into worldwide markets. Strategic Alliance Combines Chinese Innovation with Global Development
Under the collaboration framework, OTR Therapeutics will identify promising preclinical and early-stage oncology programs through its extensive scientific network and business development capabilities across China’s biotechnology sector. Following technical assessment, both companies will jointly evaluate potential assets for licensing and further development. OTR will lead preclinical research and early-stage clinical development by utilizing China’s fast-moving, cost-efficient, and scientifically advanced research environment, while LG Chem will oversee late-stage global clinical development, regulatory strategy, and commercialization activities outside China. For each selected program, OTR will receive upfront payments as well as development and regulatory milestone payments, while retaining the option to participate in global development and secure a share of worldwide rights for programs progressing into late-stage clinical trials. The partnership establishes a flexible long-term framework capable of supporting multiple oncology programs and accelerating their progression toward international regulatory approval and commercialization.
