ORLANDO, Fla. — September 23, 2026
Oracle announced expanded capabilities in Oracle Life Sciences Data Intelligence, combining real-world data, domain-trained artificial intelligence and advanced analytics in a connected platform designed to support pharmaceutical research and commercialization. The platform incorporates Oracle Health Real-World Data comprising more than 122 million de-identified patient records, according to Oracle, and enables researchers to use natural-language interactions to explore patient cohorts, conduct outcome analyses and automate multistep research workflows. Oracle said the cloud-native environment is designed to securely combine customer data, third-party data and Oracle Health Real-World Data while providing scalability for evolving research and AI applications.
Domain-Trained AI Supports Life Sciences Research
The new AI capabilities are designed specifically for life sciences workflows, allowing research teams to translate questions expressed in natural language into structured analyses, refine patient cohorts and automate multistep activities with less reliance on manual coding. Oracle said the capabilities can support use cases including cohort discovery, clinical trial recruitment, site optimization, health economics and outcomes research, market access research and evidence generation. The platform also incorporates traceable reasoning and reviewable outputs intended to provide visibility into analytical logic, evidence lineage and results. These features are designed to help researchers review AI-assisted analyses and assess how insights were generated rather than relying solely on automated outputs.
Advanced Analytics Connect Data and Evidence
Oracle Life Sciences Data Intelligence combines AI-enabled workflows with advanced analytics to help researchers analyze and interpret real-world data in a connected environment. Oracle said the platform can link models, cohorts and insights to support consistency and repeatability across research activities. The underlying data foundation combines an organization’s own information with Oracle Health Real-World Data, which includes more than 122 million longitudinal health records based on Oracle’s stated data methodology and May 2026 data snapshot. Oracle said enhanced governance is applied to the de-identified patient-level data, while the platform is designed to accommodate additional third-party datasets as organizations expand their evidence-generation requirements.
Oracle Connects Research and Commercial Workflows
The expanded platform is designed to operate across Oracle’s broader technology ecosystem, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Life Sciences, Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and Oracle Health solutions. Oracle said this interoperability can help life sciences organizations connect information and workflows spanning research, clinical development, safety, supply chain and commercial operations. The company is positioning the platform to support activities across the therapeutic lifecycle, from discovery and clinical research through commercialization. By combining governed real-world data, life sciences-focused AI and analytics within a single environment, Oracle is expanding its technology offering for pharmaceutical organizations seeking to integrate evidence generation and data-driven decision-making across development and commercial functions.
