AUSTIN, TX, June 24, 2026
Ollin Biosciences has announced the successful completion of an oversubscribed $330 million Series B financing, marking one of the largest biotechnology funding rounds in ophthalmology this year. The financing was co-led by TCGX and ARCH Venture Partners, with participation from leading healthcare-focused institutional investors including a16z Bio+Health, Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing, Commodore Capital, CPP Investments, RA Capital Management, T. Rowe Price Investment Management, Mubadala Capital, and Monograph Capital. The capital will primarily support the global Phase 3 clinical development of OLN324, the company’s next-generation VEGF/Ang2 bispecific antibody for diabetic macular edema (DME) and wet age-related macular degeneration (wAMD), while also advancing OLN102, a first-in-class therapy targeting thyroid eye disease (TED) and Graves’ disease, into clinical development later in 2026.
OLN324 Demonstrates Promising Clinical Performance Ahead of Phase 3
The financing follows encouraging results from the completed 164-patient randomized Phase 1b JADE clinical study, where OLN324 demonstrated faster and greater retinal drying compared with faricimab (Vabysmo®) across both DME and wAMD patient populations. The investigational therapy also achieved numerically greater improvements in vision, reinforcing its potential to become a best-in-class retinal treatment. Designed with higher Ang2 potency, increased molar dosing, and a smaller antibody format, OLN324 aims to improve treatment outcomes by targeting both VEGF and Ang2, two critical pathways responsible for vascular leakage, inflammation, fibrosis, and retinal instability. The company has already completed its End-of-Phase 2 meeting with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and received scientific advice from the European Medicines Agency (EMA), positioning the program to initiate global registrational Phase 3 studies during the second half of 2026.
Strategic Investment Strengthens Ollin’s Long-Term Retina Pipeline
According to Jason Ehrlich, M.D., Ph.D., Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ollin Biosciences, the new financing reflects strong investor confidence in the company’s scientific platform, clinical data, and commercial opportunity within the $15 billion global retina market. He emphasized that the funding provides the financial strength needed to execute a comprehensive global registration program while expanding the company’s long-term ophthalmology pipeline. As part of the investment, Cariad Chester, Managing Partner at TCGX, has joined the company’s Board of Directors. Chester noted that OLN324’s optimized molecular design, combining improved potency, dosing advantages, and compelling head-to-head clinical performance against Vabysmo®, positions the therapy as a potential new standard of care for patients suffering from retinal vascular diseases. The investment also validates Ollin’s strategy of acquiring and advancing best-in-disease therapies capable of addressing major unmet medical needs in ophthalmology.
Pipeline Expansion Extends Beyond Retinal Diseases
Beyond OLN324, Ollin Biosciences is advancing OLN102, a first-in-class TSHR/IGF-1R bispecific antibody designed to treat both thyroid eye disease (TED) and the underlying autoimmune disorder Graves’ disease. By simultaneously inhibiting TSHR and IGF-1R, the therapy aims to provide improved efficacy, enhanced tissue targeting, and a wider therapeutic index compared with currently available treatments. OLN102 was discovered in collaboration with VelaVigo and is expected to enter clinical development later this year. Meanwhile, OLN324, discovered in partnership with Innovent Biologics, remains the company’s lead asset as it advances toward pivotal global Phase 3 studies. Established in 2023, Ollin Biosciences continues to strengthen its position as an emerging clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on delivering innovative therapies for vision-threatening diseases, supported by a world-class leadership team, strategic industry collaborations, and a growing syndicate of globally recognized healthcare investors.
