Palo Alto, California, U.S., October 7, 2026
Kodiak Sciences Inc. announced that clinical data from all three of its late-stage retinal disease programs will be presented at the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) 2026 Annual Meeting, taking place October 9–12 in New Orleans. The presentations will feature the first scientific disclosure of Phase 3 DAYBREAK results for Zenkuda (tarcocimab tedromer) and tabirafusp-ted (KSI-501) in patients with wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD), alongside additional clinical findings for Zenkuda in diabetic retinopathy and KSI-101 in macular edema secondary to inflammation (MESI). The presentations highlight Kodiak Sciences’ continued development of next-generation retinal therapies aimed at addressing major causes of vision loss.
Kodiak to Present First Phase 3 DAYBREAK Results
A key highlight at AAO 2026 will be the first scientific presentation of results from the pivotal Phase 3 DAYBREAK study, evaluating Zenkuda and tabirafusp-ted in patients with wet AMD. Charles Wykoff, M.D., Ph.D., will present the findings during Retina Subspecialty Day on October 9. Kodiak previously announced topline DAYBREAK results on September 28, 2026, reporting that the study met its primary endpoint for each investigational treatment. At Year 1, both Zenkuda and tabirafusp-ted demonstrated non-inferior vision gains compared with aflibercept, an established anti-VEGF therapy used in retinal diseases. The upcoming scientific presentation is expected to provide additional detail on the efficacy and safety outcomes from the pivotal study, giving the ophthalmology community a closer look at the clinical performance of the two investigational therapies.
Zenkuda and KSI-101 Data Expand Retina Pipeline
Beyond DAYBREAK, Kodiak will present Phase 3 GLOW2 data for Zenkuda in diabetic retinopathy, further expanding the clinical evidence for the company’s lead retinal program. The GLOW2 presentation will be delivered by Margaret Chang, M.D., during Clinical Trial Updates at AAO 2026 on October 10. Kodiak is developing Zenkuda across multiple retinal vascular diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion and wet AMD. The company will also present Phase 1b APEX results for KSI-101 in macular edema secondary to inflammation. Edmund Tsui, M.D., M.S., FARVO, will present the APEX findings during Uveitis Subspecialty Day on October 9. KSI-101 is a bispecific protein being investigated as a potential treatment for inflammatory retinal conditions, adding another therapeutic approach to Kodiak’s late-stage development portfolio.
Kodiak Advances Next-Generation Retinal Medicines
The AAO 2026 presentations underscore Kodiak Sciences’ focus on developing next-generation retinal medicines designed to address leading causes of blindness. The company’s pipeline includes Zenkuda, KSI-501 and KSI-101, with programs spanning wet AMD, diabetic retinopathy, diabetic macular edema and inflammation-associated macular edema. Zenkuda and KSI-501 are being developed to address diseases within the anti-VEGF treatment landscape, while KSI-101 is being evaluated for inflammatory retinal disorders. Kodiak expects additional clinical milestones for KSI-101, with topline data from the PEAK study anticipated in December 2026 and results from the PEAK+PINNACLE analysis expected in the second quarter of 2027. By presenting data across all three programs at a major ophthalmology meeting, Kodiak Sciences is providing clinicians and researchers with updated evidence from its expanding retinal therapeutics pipeline. The presentations could also contribute to ongoing scientific discussion around treatment approaches for retinal diseases that affect millions of patients worldwide.
