Jazz Pharmaceuticals plc has unveiled extensive late-breaking research at SLEEP 2026, presenting 11 new scientific analyses that further demonstrate the real-world impact of Xywav® (calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium oxybates) in patients living with narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia (IH). The data provide important insights into individualized treatment approaches, long-term patient outcomes, and the potential cardiometabolic benefits associated with Xywav’s low-sodium formulation. New Evidence Supports Personalized Xywav Treatment Strategies
Among the most significant presentations were new analyses from the Phase 4 DUET study, which evaluated individualized dosing strategies for patients with narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia. Researchers observed reductions in non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, triglycerides, and systolic blood pressure among certain patient groups following Xywav initiation. Improvements in HDL cholesterol levels were also reported. These findings suggest that Xywav’s low-sodium formulation may provide health benefits extending beyond symptom management, potentially supporting better long-term cardiovascular outcomes in patients requiring lifelong treatment.
