Dimerix Limited has announced a landmark exclusive licensing agreement with Everest Medicines for the commercialization of its Phase 3 drug candidate DMX-200 across Greater China, South Korea, and key Southeast Asian markets, significantly expanding the potential global reach of the investigational therapy for Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). Under the agreement, Everest Medicines will receive exclusive rights to develop and commercialize DMX-200 for all indications in the licensed territories, while Dimerix retains rights in all other regions. The transaction includes a US$10 million upfront payment and potential development, regulatory, and commercial milestone payments totaling up to US$340 million, in addition to tiered royalties on future sales. The partnership represents the fifth major licensing deal secured by Dimerix for DMX-200 and further validates the commercial and clinical potential of the company’s lead renal disease asset, which is currently being evaluated in the pivotal ACTION3 Phase 3 clinical trial.
Strategic Partnership Expands Access to Rare Kidney Disease Therapy
The licensing agreement is expected to accelerate access to DMX-200 across some of the world’s fastest-growing healthcare markets, where an estimated 500,000 to one million patients may be affected by FSGS. This rare and progressive kidney disease is characterized by scarring of the kidney’s filtration units, often leading to declining kidney function, end-stage renal disease, and the need for dialysis or transplantation. Currently, there are no approved therapies specifically indicated for FSGS across the licensed territories, creating a significant unmet medical need.
Everest Medicines will leverage its established expertise in rare kidney diseases, regulatory affairs, and commercialization to support registration and future market access activities. Dimerix leadership emphasized that the collaboration enables broader patient reach while allowing the company to remain focused on advancing its global development strategy and regulatory program.
Phase 3 ACTION3 Trial Continues to Build Momentum

DMX-200 is a CCR2 antagonist designed to be administered alongside standard angiotensin receptor blocker therapy, targeting inflammatory pathways believed to contribute to kidney damage in FSGS. The ongoing ACTION3 Phase 3 clinical trial has completed recruitment of 333 patients across 21 countries, including participants from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, and Malaysia. Earlier interim analyses demonstrated encouraging reductions in proteinuria compared with placebo, while independent safety reviews have reported no major concerns to date.
In April 2026, a blinded statistical assessment confirmed that the study remains appropriately powered with a greater than 90% probability of demonstrating a statistically significant treatment effect if current efficacy trends continue through trial completion. These findings have strengthened confidence in the program and increased interest among global partners seeking innovative therapies for rare renal diseases.
Licensing Deal Strengthens Dimerix Global Commercial Strategy
The Everest Medicines agreement further strengthens Dimerix’s international commercialization strategy and adds to a growing portfolio of regional partnerships established across Europe, the Middle East, Japan, and other markets. Collectively, the company’s licensing agreements for DMX-200 now represent the potential for approximately AU$1.9 billion in aggregate upfront and milestone payments, excluding future royalty revenues.
