Biocytogen and Whitehawk Therapeutics have announced a global strategic collaboration to accelerate the discovery and development of bispecific antibody-drug conjugates (BsADCs) for the treatment of cancer. The partnership combines Biocytogen’s proprietary RenLiteĀ® fully human bispecific antibody platform with Whitehawk Therapeutics’ advanced antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) linker-payload technologies to develop next-generation targeted oncology therapies with enhanced precision and therapeutic potential. Under the collaboration, Biocytogen will provide access to up to five fully human bispecific antibody candidates, while Whitehawk will evaluate and optimize these antibodies using its proprietary ADC platform before determining which candidates will advance into clinical development. The collaboration reflects growing industry interest in combining bispecific antibody engineering with ADC technology to improve tumor targeting, increase therapeutic efficacy, and potentially overcome limitations associated with first-generation cancer therapies. The agreement also strengthens both companies’ oncology pipelines while expanding opportunities for innovative biologic drug development.
RenLiteĀ® and ADC Technologies Drive Next-Generation Oncology Innovation
At the center of the collaboration is Biocytogen’s RenLiteĀ® platform, a proprietary common light-chain antibody discovery technology designed to generate fully human bispecific antibodies while minimizing light-chain mispairing during antibody production. The platform enables efficient discovery, screening, and optimization across multiple therapeutic targets, creating a strong molecular foundation for developing bispecific antibody-drug conjugates. Whitehawk Therapeutics will integrate these antibody candidates with its proprietary Carbon Bridge Cysteine Re-pairing (CBCR) bioconjugation technology and CPT113 linker-payload platform, technologies engineered to improve the stability, safety profile, and therapeutic index of ADCs.
By combining complementary expertise in antibody engineering and targeted drug delivery, both companies aim to identify highly differentiated BsADC candidates capable of selectively targeting cancer cells while minimizing damage to healthy tissues. Company leadership noted that the collaboration represents an important step toward expanding the application of bispecific antibodies in precision oncology and accelerating the translation of innovative biologics into future clinical candidates.
Collaboration Expands Global Oncology Development Pipeline
Under the terms of the agreement, Biocytogen will receive an upfront payment and will be eligible for future development, regulatory, and commercial milestone payments, together with low single-digit royalties on potential future product sales. Should Whitehawk Therapeutics choose to advance any resulting BsADC candidates, it will obtain global development and commercialization rights while maintaining full program control. The collaboration aligns with Whitehawk’s strategy of delivering multiple Investigational New Drug (IND) applications over the next 12 to 24 months, while further expanding Biocytogen’s growing portfolio of global antibody partnerships. Biocytogen has established itself as a leader in antibody discovery through its RenMiceĀ® technology platform, supporting fully human monoclonal, bispecific, multispecific, and nanobody development, alongside its extensive collection of target-humanized preclinical models.
