MONMOUTH JUNCTION, N.J. — September 14, 2026
Tris Pharma, Inc. announced the availability of a new 30-count bottle size of QuilliChew ER® (methylphenidate HCl) extended-release chewable tablets in 20 mg, 30 mg and 40 mg strengths for the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in patients six years and older. The smaller package is designed to simplify pharmacy stocking and dispensing while providing a convenient 30-day supply at common dosing levels. The new bottle is available through major wholesalers, including Cardinal Health, Cencora and McKesson, and was introduced as families navigate the back-to-school period. Tris said the new package size strengthens the product’s commercial and supply strategy while maintaining the same medication, storage requirements, expiration dating and per-tablet manufacturer price.
Smaller Packaging Supports Pharmacy and Patient Needs
The 30-count bottle is intended to align QuilliChew ER packaging more closely with common monthly dispensing practices, potentially making inventory management and prescription fulfillment easier for pharmacies. Tris said the company will phase out the existing 100-count bottle as part of the transition, while pharmacies will continue to have flexibility to dispense less than a full month’s supply when appropriate. The company also stated that its QuilliChew ER supply has remained unaffected by sporadic shortages reported elsewhere in the ADHD treatment category. By maintaining supply while introducing a smaller package, Tris is positioning availability and dispensing convenience as important components of its commercial strategy. The new size also gives existing patients and caregivers another practical option during a period when consistent medication routines can be particularly important.
QuilliChew ER Provides Flexible Dosing Options
QuilliChew ER offers up to 11 dosing options, giving clinicians flexibility when individualizing treatment for patients with ADHD. The scored 20 mg and 30 mg tablets can be divided in half, expanding dosing possibilities beyond the available 20 mg, 30 mg and 40 mg strengths. The once-daily extended-release formulation is a cherry-flavored chewable tablet that can be taken without water or food, offering an alternative for patients who have difficulty swallowing conventional tablets or capsules. The product is indicated for children and adolescents six years and older, with symptom control targeting core ADHD manifestations including inattention and hyperactivity/impulsivity. Tris is using the product’s flexible dosing and chewable delivery format to support individualized treatment while expanding practical options for families and healthcare providers.
Tris Strengthens Commercial CNS Portfolio
The packaging expansion reinforces Tris Pharma’s broader strategy of building a differentiated commercial portfolio in ADHD and central nervous system therapeutics. The privately held biopharmaceutical company applies proprietary drug-development and targeted drug-delivery technologies across ADHD, pain and other CNS disorders. QuilliChew ER remains part of its marketed ADHD portfolio, while the company continues developing additional differentiated candidates intended to address unmet needs in CNS medicine. The new 30-count bottle does not change the medication’s formulation or price per tablet, but it provides a more streamlined package for monthly dispensing and reinforces the company’s focus on commercial execution. By combining flexible dosing, chewable drug delivery and expanded packaging convenience, Tris is seeking to strengthen QuilliChew ER’s position within the competitive ADHD treatment market.
