DALLAS, July 8, 2026
Spectral AI, Inc. announced the appointment of Darcy Bajko as Chief Commercial Officer, effective July 31, 2026, to lead the company’s global commercial strategy for the FDA-cleared DeepView® System. The leadership appointment follows the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) De Novo clearance of the DeepView System for burn wound assessment in May 2026, marking Spectral AI’s transition from product development to commercial execution. Bajko will oversee worldwide sales, marketing, customer engagement, and commercialization initiatives aimed at expanding adoption across burn centers, emergency departments, and healthcare systems. The company expects her leadership to support its objective of securing its first commercial sales before the end of 2026 while building a scalable revenue-generating commercial organization.
Experienced MedTech Executive Brings Proven Commercialization Expertise
Bajko joins Spectral AI after serving in several senior commercial leadership positions at MediView XR, most recently as Vice President of Commercialization and Customer Success, where she played a central role in launching multiple FDA-cleared augmented reality imaging platforms, including MediScout™, OmnifyXR™, and XR90™. During her tenure, she helped establish commercialization strategies, customer success programs, and market adoption initiatives across interventional radiology, urology, oncology, and minimally invasive surgery. Earlier in her career, she held commercial leadership roles at Smith+Nephew, Integra LifeSciences, and OrthoHelix Surgical Designs, gaining more than two decades of experience in product launches, physician education, sales management, and medical device commercialization. Spectral AI believes her expertise in introducing innovative medical technologies will accelerate the market adoption of its artificial intelligence-powered diagnostic platform.
DeepView System Uses Artificial Intelligence for Rapid Burn Assessment
The DeepView® System is a non-invasive predictive diagnostic device that combines multispectral imaging with a proprietary artificial intelligence algorithm to evaluate the healing potential of burn wounds. The system provides physicians with an objective assessment of whether burn tissue is unlikely to heal within 21 days, helping clinicians determine whether early surgical intervention or advanced treatment may be required. Image acquisition is completed in approximately 0.2 seconds, while AI analysis and classification are delivered within 20 to 25 seconds, allowing clinicians to make faster, evidence-based treatment decisions. The DeepView platform has been developed and validated using a proprietary clinical database containing more than 340 billion pixels of burn wound imaging data, supporting its ability to deliver highly accurate predictive assessments that may improve patient outcomes while reducing unnecessary procedures and healthcare costs.
Commercial Expansion Supports Spectral AI’s Growth Strategy
The appointment of Darcy Bajko represents an important milestone as Spectral AI enters its commercial growth phase following regulatory clearance of the DeepView System. Company executives stated that the focus now shifts toward expanding clinical adoption throughout burn care programs and emergency medicine while leveraging long-standing government partnerships, extensive clinical evidence, and increasing industry recognition. Recently recognized among TIME’s World’s Top HealthTech Companies 2025, Spectral AI continues advancing its mission of improving wound care through artificial intelligence-powered medical diagnostics. By strengthening its executive leadership and commercial infrastructure, the company aims to accelerate physician adoption of the DeepView System, establish a sustainable commercial business, and expand the use of predictive AI technologies that enable faster, more accurate treatment decisions for patients with burn injuries worldwide.
