Revvity, Inc. announced the launch of its SuperFlex™ prenatal screening system, a compact, CE-IVDR certified immunoassay platform designed to expand access to preeclampsia testing and other biochemical prenatal screening services. The system is specifically designed for small and mid-sized laboratories and clinics, enabling healthcare providers to perform selected prenatal screening tests closer to patients rather than relying exclusively on high-throughput centralized laboratories. SuperFlex combines a compact instrument design with flexible testing capabilities, rapid turnaround and simplified operation. Revvity said the platform is intended to address financial and operational barriers that have historically limited access to in-house prenatal screening, particularly in lower-volume healthcare settings.
SuperFlex Targets Preeclampsia Screening Access
Preeclampsia affects approximately 2% to 8% of pregnancies and remains an important maternal health concern globally. The condition can lead to serious complications for pregnant women and their babies, making timely risk assessment and monitoring important during pregnancy. Although international guidelines recommend screening, access to biochemical testing has historically been concentrated in larger centralized laboratories capable of supporting high testing volumes. Revvity’s SuperFlex system is designed to bring this testing capability to decentralized laboratories and clinics. The company said the platform offers an accessible entry point through an affordable instrument model, a single annual maintenance requirement and an operating design intended to avoid reagent wastage when sample volumes are low. These features could make prenatal biochemical screening more practical for healthcare facilities that do not require high-throughput laboratory systems.
Compact Platform Offers Flexible Prenatal Testing
The SuperFlex prenatal screening system is designed around operational simplicity and flexible throughput. The platform supports continuous sample loading and can deliver results in as little as 14 minutes per test, allowing laboratories to accommodate both routine screening and more time-sensitive workflows. The system integrates with Revvity’s LifeCycle™ software, which supports streamlined risk assessment and LIMS data transfer, helping laboratories incorporate test results into existing workflows. In addition to preeclampsia testing, the platform includes a menu for first- and second-trimester biochemical prenatal screening. Revvity said the random-access configuration provides flexibility for laboratories handling varying sample volumes and is particularly suited to decentralized testing environments. The combination of rapid testing, flexible sample handling and simplified operation is intended to reduce the infrastructure requirements associated with prenatal screening.

Revvity Plans Asia-Pacific Expansion
The SuperFlex platform will initially be available in markets that accept CE-marked instruments, with Asia-Pacific expansion planned for late 2026. Revvity said the launch represents an expansion of its reproductive health portfolio and is intended to remove some of the financial and operational barriers associated with in-house prenatal screening. By enabling smaller laboratories and clinics to perform biochemical testing locally, the platform could support broader availability of prenatal risk assessment, particularly in healthcare environments where centralized testing creates logistical challenges.
