Pulsenmore Ltd. has received a $1.27 million grant from the Israel Innovation Authority to advance its SmartScan AI research and development program, marking the company’s second AI-focused grant within one month. The new funding brings the total AI grants approved for Pulsenmore during the past month to approximately $1.6 million, supporting two complementary programs with a combined scope of approximately $3.12 million. The latest initiative is focused on strengthening the company’s home ultrasound platform through artificial intelligence, real-time ultrasound analysis and dynamic guidance, with the broader objective of improving scan quality and consistency while enabling home-based ultrasound examinations to be performed at significantly greater scale.
Pulsenmore Expands AI Strategy for Home Ultrasound
The SmartScan AI program is designed to address a major challenge in home ultrasound: obtaining clinically useful images can depend heavily on the user’s ability to correctly position and operate the ultrasound device. Pulsenmore plans to develop an intelligent system that can analyze ultrasound images in real time and provide dynamic guidance during image acquisition, helping users reach an appropriate scanning position. The technology is intended to combine information from a new ultrasound transducer with AI-based feedback, creating a more guided examination process rather than relying solely on user experience. Development will leverage data from more than 250,000 clinical scans accumulated through the company’s platform and is expected to incorporate Edge AI models capable of fast processing directly on the device. AI Development Targets Multiple Women’s Health Applications
Pulsenmore is positioning SmartScan AI as a technology platform that can support several areas of women’s health, particularly where repeated ultrasound monitoring may be required. The program is designed to support fetal well-being and growth monitoring, including home-based pregnancy assessments. Another planned application involves advanced pregnancy monitoring, where ultrasound could provide women with visual information related to fetal head position and the effects of pushing efforts as part of preparation for delivery. The technology is also being developed for fertility treatment monitoring, including assessment of ovarian follicles and endometrial thickness. These applications reflect Pulsenmore’s broader strategy of extending ultrasound beyond conventional clinical environments and connecting home examinations with healthcare professionals through digital and telemedicine infrastructure. The company’s focus is not simply on producing a smaller ultrasound device, but on developing an integrated system in which AI assists image acquisition and clinical workflows, potentially allowing healthcare providers to oversee larger numbers of remote examinations without a proportional increase in clinical resources..
Pulsenmore Builds Toward Scalable Remote Ultrasound
The latest funding follows Pulsenmore’s selection in July 2026 for a joint Israel Innovation Authority and Ministry of Health program supporting the development and clinical validation of AI applications designed to improve clinical workflow efficiency. Together, the two programs provide complementary support for Pulsenmore’s AI strategy, covering both the home ultrasound acquisition process and downstream clinical workflow. The company is seeking to create an AI layer that can operate across the ultrasound journey, from helping a patient obtain an appropriate image to supporting efficient handling of examinations by healthcare teams. Pulsenmore said the long-term objective is to enable its platform to accommodate a substantially higher volume of home examinations while maintaining scan quality and consistency. The company believes this capability could help expand the role of home ultrasound in pregnancy monitoring and fertility care, while reducing some of the operational barriers associated with remote imaging. The SmartScan AI program is planned as a 12-month R&D initiative, adding another development milestone to Pulsenmore’s expanding technology pipeline.
