Pfizer Inc. announced that it will present data from 45 company-sponsored, investigator-sponsored and collaborative research abstracts at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress, scheduled for October 23–27, 2026, in Madrid, Spain. The program includes 11 oral presentations spanning breast cancer, genitourinary cancers and lung cancer, with new evidence planned for established medicines including PADCEV and TALZENNA alongside late-stage investigational programs such as atirmociclib, sigvotatug vedotin and tivunatamig (PF-08634404). Pfizer said the presentations are intended to expand understanding of treatment outcomes, patient experience and potential next-generation approaches across its oncology portfolio. The company’s ESMO program will include Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical data, exploratory analyses and patient-reported outcomes across several major cancer indications.
Pfizer Advances Late-Stage Oncology Pipeline
Several ESMO presentations will focus on investigational medicines being evaluated in late-stage clinical development. Phase 2 randomized results from the FOURLIGHT-1 study of atirmociclib, a selective CDK4 inhibitor, will evaluate the candidate in combination with fulvestrant in patients with HR-positive, HER2-negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer previously treated with CDK4/6 inhibitor-based therapy. Pfizer will also present late-breaking overall survival and progression-free survival results from the Phase 3 SigVie-002 study of sigvotatug vedotin, an investigational integrin β6-directed antibody-drug conjugate, in previously treated nonsquamous NSCLC. In addition, updated Phase 2 results for tivunatamig, a PD-1/VEGF bispecific antibody, will be presented in combination with chemotherapy for first-line PD-L1-expressing NSCLC. These programs remain investigational, and the ESMO presentations will provide additional clinical evidence for their ongoing development.
ESMO Data Expand Evidence for Established Medicines
Pfizer will also present new analyses involving established oncology medicines and treatment combinations, including PADCEV and TALZENNA. Exploratory analyses from the Phase 3 EV-302 trial will examine outcomes with PADCEV plus pembrolizumab in previously untreated locally advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma, including analyses involving older patients, patients with comorbidities and disease-related subgroups. Data from the Phase 3 TALAPRO-3 study will include patient-reported outcomes and safety analyses for TALZENNA plus XTANDI in men with HRR gene-altered metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer. Pfizer will also present analyses from perioperative PADCEV plus pembrolizumab studies in muscle-invasive bladder cancer, including circulating tumor DNA and health-related quality-of-life assessments. The presentations will add context to previously reported clinical findings and ongoing regulatory activity.

Pfizer Highlights Broad ESMO 2026 Research Program
The company’s ESMO program spans multiple tumor types and research areas, including breast cancer, lung cancer, bladder cancer, prostate cancer and melanoma. Additional presentations include Phase 3 data from the STARBOARD study evaluating BRAFTOVI, MEKTOVI and pembrolizumab in previously untreated BRAF V600-mutant advanced melanoma, as well as health-related quality-of-life findings from HER2CLIMB-05 involving tucatinib in HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer. Pfizer said the breadth of its ESMO presence reflects its strategy of combining evidence generation for existing therapies with development of new therapeutic mechanisms, including small molecules, antibody-drug conjugates and multispecific antibodies. The October presentations are expected to provide further clinical data across the company’s oncology portfolio and inform ongoing development programs in major cancer indications.
