Immunocore Holdings plc announced that it will present clinical data from its Phase 1/2 trial of brenetafusp, both as a monotherapy and in combination with KIMMTRAK® (tebentafusp-tebn), in patients with metastatic uveal melanoma at the 2026 Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) Annual Meeting. The study is evaluating the investigational therapy in patients who are HLA-A*02:01-positive. The combination findings have been selected for a late-breaking oral presentation, alongside a poster presentation covering the clinical evaluation. Immunocore stated that the presentations will include additional safety and efficacy data. The company plans to issue a further announcement when the poster session begins on November 6, 2026. The study is notable for evaluating a combination of two T-cell-engaging therapies in a solid tumor setting.
SITC 2026 Presentation Details
The poster presentation, titled “Phase 1 evaluation of brenetafusp alone and in combination with tebentafusp in metastatic uveal melanoma” (Abstract No. 1177), is scheduled for Friday, November 6, 2026, in the Poster Hall. The session is listed for 10:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST), corresponding to 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). The clinical oral abstract presentation will take place during Session 2 on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 1:45 p.m. MST (3:45 p.m. EST). Immunocore said the poster and oral presentations will provide further information on the safety and efficacy observed in the clinical program. The company will release additional information on November 6 at 12:00 p.m. ET (5:00 p.m. UK time), when the poster session starts. The announcement does not disclose detailed response rates, survival outcomes, patient numbers for the uveal melanoma combination cohort or specific safety findings from the brenetafusp-plus-KIMMTRAK regimen. Those details are expected to be addressed in the scientific presentations.
Brenetafusp and the IMC-F106C-101 Clinical Trial
Brenetafusp, also known as IMC-F106C, is an investigational bispecific protein developed using Immunocore’s proprietary ImmTAC® (Immune mobilizing monoclonal TCRs Against Cancer) technology. It is the company’s first molecule targeting PRAME, a cancer-associated antigen. The technology uses engineered soluble T-cell receptors designed to recognize intracellular cancer antigens and an anti-CD3 immune-activating component intended to recruit and activate T cells against cancer cells. The first-in-human IMC-F106C-101 Phase 1/2 trial is evaluating brenetafusp in patients with multiple solid tumors, including uveal melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer and ovarian cancer. Its Phase 1 dose-escalation portion was designed to assess safety, preliminary anti-tumor activity and pharmacokinetics, while determining the maximum tolerated dose. The trial includes monotherapy and combination-treatment arms with standards of care. KIMMTRAK, the approved therapy being evaluated in combination with brenetafusp, is another T-cell-engaging bispecific protein. It combines a soluble T-cell receptor targeting the gp100 antigen, which is expressed in melanocytes and melanoma, with an anti-CD3 immune-effector function. The new combination research is intended to explore the potential of engaging T cells through two distinct tumor-antigen targets.
KIMMTRAK Safety Information and Immunocore’s Pipeline
KIMMTRAK carries important safety risks, including cytokine release syndrome (CRS), which can be serious or life-threatening. CRS occurred in 89% of treated patients, with Grade 3 or 4 events reported in 0.8%. The prescribing information calls for monitoring for at least 16 hours after the first three infusions, with appropriate access to medications and resuscitative equipment. Other reported risks include skin reactions, which occurred in 91% of patients, and elevated liver enzymes, reported in 65%. KIMMTRAK may also cause embryo-fetal toxicity, requiring counseling on fetal risk and effective contraception during treatment and for one week after the final dose. Common adverse reactions include rash, fever, itching, fatigue, nausea, chills, abdominal pain, edema, hypotension and headache. Immunocore is a commercial-stage biotechnology company developing T-cell receptor bispecific immunotherapies through its ImmTAX platform, with programs across oncology, infectious diseases and autoimmune conditions. KIMMTRAK is approved in multiple countries, including the United States, European Union, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom, for eligible adults with HLA-A*02:01-positive unresectable or metastatic uveal melanoma. The upcoming SITC presentations will provide further clinical information on the investigational brenetafusp combination; its safety and efficacy will need to be assessed through the ongoing clinical development program.
