Fullspan Health, a B2B healthcare platform backed by RVO Health, has launched AIQ, a proprietary artificial intelligence measurement and media optimization solution designed to help pharmaceutical and healthcare marketers measure and improve brand visibility across AI-powered search experiences. The new technology is intended to help marketers understand when and how their brands are referenced, cited, and linked in AI-generated answers, while providing insights that can be used to optimize campaigns and strengthen digital visibility. AIQ is available across campaigns running throughout the Fullspan Health portfolio, including Healthline, Healthgrades, Medical News Today, Psych Central, and Bezzy.
AIQ Tracks Pharma Brands Across AI Search
The growing use of generative AI for health information is creating a new digital environment for pharmaceutical marketers. According to data cited by Fullspan Health, 32% of adults are using AI for health information and advice, while 59% of AI users are searching for treatment options based on a diagnosis. AIQ is designed to help marketers understand how their brands appear within this evolving search landscape and whether their digital content is being surfaced by leading AI platforms. The platform tracks brand references, citations, and links across Google AI Overviews, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity, giving marketers a way to monitor AI visibility across multiple search and conversational environments.
AIQ also allows marketers to monitor changes in visibility after campaigns launch. According to Fullspan Health, the technology can help identify where marketing investment may have influenced AI visibility and highlight opportunities to expand campaigns into additional topics, questions, and search queries. The platform is designed not only to measure whether a brand appears in AI-generated answers but also to provide actionable insights for improving brand citations and increasing the visibility of a company’s own website content.
Fullspan Uses AI Visibility and Health Content
The launch builds on Fullspan Health’s experience with healthcare content and search performance, particularly through its network of established health information platforms. Fullspan Health says its AIQ technology incorporates proprietary agentic experience optimization (AEO) principles, developed from more than a decade of experience with Healthline’s search performance and health-content expertise. These principles are now being applied to advertising campaigns to help pharmaceutical and healthcare brands improve their discoverability within AI-generated responses.
Fullspan Health’s analysis also reported substantial visibility for its content across several therapeutic areas. In its testing, Fullspan Health content appeared in approximately two-thirds of ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini answers across the sample of prompts evaluated for selected health categories. Reported category reach included 81% for migraine, 79% for HPV prevention, 73% for hypothyroidism, 71% for type 2 diabetes and obesity, 70% for breast cancer, and 66% for arthritis. The company also reported particularly strong visibility for cystic fibrosis, where its content appeared in 85.4% of sampled prompts.
AI Search Creates New Pharma Marketing Metrics
AIQ’s launch reflects a broader shift in how consumers discover and evaluate health information. Traditional digital marketing has often focused on metrics such as website traffic, search rankings, impressions, and clicks. AI-generated search introduces another layer in which brand mentions, citations, links, and inclusion within generated answers can become important measures of digital visibility. AIQ is intended to give pharmaceutical marketers a structured way to monitor these emerging signals and assess how campaigns perform across AI-driven search experiences.
Fullspan Health says AIQ can be applied across its advertising products and its 2027 marketing solutions. Its methodology involved testing an average of 200 unique questions or prompts across key conditions and therapeutic areas between July and September 2026. Category reach was defined as the percentage of unique questions for which at least one tested AI model cited a Fullspan Health property. The company notes that each question was counted once, regardless of how many tested AI models cited its content. For pharmaceutical companies, the technology represents an emerging approach to understanding AI search visibility, healthcare content discovery, and digital brand performance. As AI-powered search becomes another pathway through which consumers encounter health information, tools such as AIQ could provide marketers with additional data for evaluating how brands and educational content are represented across these platforms.
