IRVINE, Calif., May 20, 2026
Eledon Pharmaceuticals announced that new long-term clinical data from its Phase 2 BESTOW trial evaluating tegoprubart for the prevention of kidney transplant rejection will be presented at the upcoming American Transplant Congress (ATC) 2026 in Boston. The company will deliver both oral and poster presentations highlighting updated efficacy, safety, and extension study findings for the investigational anti-CD40L antibody in kidney transplantation. The announcement further strengthens Eledon’s position in the growing field of next-generation immunomodulatory therapies designed to improve long-term transplant outcomes while reducing complications associated with traditional immunosuppressive drugs.
Phase 2 BESTOW Trial Data to Highlight Long-Term Safety and Efficacy
The oral presentation at ATC 2026 will focus on updated data from the ongoing Phase 2 BESTOW clinical trial, which evaluates the safety and efficacy of tegoprubart in preventing rejection in kidney transplant recipients. The presentation will be delivered by Andrew Adams, a leading transplant specialist and Executive Medical Director of the Solid Organ Transplant Service Line at M Health Fairview.
The trial is designed to assess whether tegoprubart, a novel anti-CD40L antibody, can provide effective immune suppression without the toxicities commonly associated with conventional transplant medications. The updated findings are expected to include additional data on graft survival, rejection prevention, safety profile, and long-term patient outcomes.
In parallel, Eledon will also present new findings from the BESTOW extension study, offering long-term follow-up data that could further validate tegoprubart’s durability and tolerability in transplant patients. Long-term transplant maintenance remains one of the largest unmet needs in transplantation medicine, as chronic rejection and drug-related complications continue to impact patient survival and organ function.
Tegoprubart Targets CD40L Pathway in Transplant Medicine
Tegoprubart is an investigational monoclonal antibody targeting the CD40 Ligand (CD40L) pathway, a well-established immune signaling mechanism involved in both adaptive and innate immune activation. By blocking CD40L signaling, the therapy aims to suppress immune-mediated transplant rejection while potentially avoiding the severe toxicities linked to calcineurin inhibitors and lymphocyte-depleting therapies.
These conditions are often chronic, progressive, and associated with severe pain, bleeding, infections, cosmetic disfigurement, and reduced quality of life. Despite the serious burden on patients, there are currently no FDA-approved therapies specifically indicated for many of these disorders, creating a significant unmet medical need.
Beyond kidney transplantation, the company is also exploring tegoprubart in several additional indications, including xenotransplantation, islet cell transplantation, liver transplantation, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The broader development program reflects growing industry interest in immune pathway modulation as a platform technology across multiple severe diseases.
ATC 2026 Presentations and Investor Conference Call
The oral presentation titled “Phase 2 BESTOW Trial: Evaluating Tegoprubart’s Safety and Efficacy in Preventing Kidney Transplant Rejection” is scheduled for June 22, 2026, during the Emerging Discoveries Oral Abstract Session at ATC 2026 in Boston.
Eledon will also host a conference call and webcast on June 22, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. ET to discuss updated clinical findings from both the BESTOW study and its extension trial. Following the event, presentation materials will be available through the company’s investor relations platform.
The upcoming data presentations are important for Eledon as the biotechnology company seeks to advance tegoprubart through clinical development in transplantation and immune-mediated diseases. Positive long-term outcomes could position the therapy as a differentiated option in the competitive transplant immunology market, where safer and more targeted therapies remain in high demand.
