SAN DIEGO, Aug. 13, 2026
Daré Bioscience, Inc. reported its second-quarter 2026 financial results and highlighted significant progress in its strategy to build a multi-product women’s health portfolio spanning commercial products and clinical-stage therapies. The company launched Flora Sync LF5, marking its first directly commercialized product, with revenue generation beginning in July 2026. Daré is also preparing for national prescription dispensing of DARE to PLAY Sildenafil Cream, with prescriptions and preorders already being accepted and initial product revenue expected during the third quarter of 2026. The company said its commercial strategy combines evidence-based products, provider engagement, digital marketing, telehealth services and its DARE Health Hub to improve access to products specifically designed for women. This represents an important transition for Daré from a primarily development-focused biotechnology company toward a business with an emerging commercial revenue platform.
Commercial Expansion Strengthens Daré’s Growth Strategy
Daré is advancing several initiatives designed to create a scalable commercial ecosystem across women’s health, including contraception, menopause, sexual health and vaginal health. Following the launch of Flora Sync LF5, the company continued preparations for the prescription launch of DARE to PLAY Sildenafil Cream, while collaborating with MyMenopauseRx to connect potential users with specialized telehealth services. Daré also expects to advance DARE to RECLAIM, an estradiol plus progesterone monthly hormone therapy, toward commercial availability through the 503B compounding pathway, with prescription dispensing targeted to begin in 2027, while simultaneously evaluating an FDA 505(b)(2) regulatory strategy. The company believes these initiatives can create multiple revenue sources across its portfolio rather than relying on a single product. Daré’s commercial platform is intended to integrate education, healthcare-provider engagement, telehealth and fulfillment, potentially allowing the company to apply lessons from each product launch to future programs.
Ovaprene and DARE-HPV Drive Clinical Pipeline Progress
Daré’s clinical pipeline also continued to advance, led by positive interim results from the pivotal Phase 3 Ovaprene study, an investigational hormone-free monthly intravaginal contraceptive. The independent Data Safety Monitoring Board recommended that the study continue without modification following the interim analysis, supporting continued development of the program. The company also initiated a Phase 2 DARE-HPV study evaluating an investigational therapy for women with persistent high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. The study is expected to enroll approximately 100 women, with topline results anticipated in 2027. Funding from ARPA-H is supporting the program, while Daré received notice of a second $1 million NIAID funding tranche, bringing total funding awarded to the DARE-HPV program to approximately $2 million since the project began in December 2024. These programs provide additional potential clinical and regulatory catalysts as Daré expands its women’s health pipeline.
Daré Reports Q2 Financial Results and Revenue Outlook
As of June 30, 2026, Daré reported approximately $12.6 million in cash and cash equivalents and a working capital deficit of approximately $0.2 million. Second-quarter revenue reached approximately $0.2 million, compared with a negative $0.02 million in the prior-year period, primarily reflecting research and development services revenue from agreements with the Gates Foundation, partially offset by lower non-cash royalty revenue associated with XACIATO. Selling, general and administrative expenses were approximately $2.6 million, while R&D expenses declined to approximately $0.2 million from $1.4 million in the comparable quarter. Daré said revenue from Flora Sync LF5 began being recognized in July, while revenue from DARE to PLAY Sildenafil Cream is expected to begin in Q3 2026. The company is therefore moving toward a multi-product revenue model during 2026 and 2027, while continuing to advance Ovaprene, DARE-HPV and additional women’s health programs through clinical and regulatory milestones.
