C4 Therapeutics announced that new biomarker data evaluating the immunomodulatory effects of cemsidomide in combination with dexamethasone will be presented at the 23rd International Myeloma Society (IMS) Annual Meeting. The data come from the company’s Phase 1 clinical trial in relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) and will characterize the effects of cemsidomide on T cells and natural killer (NK) cells across the once-daily dose levels evaluated in the study. The findings are expected to provide additional insight into the potential of cemsidomide as a combination partner for immune-based therapies.
Cemsidomide Biomarker Data to Examine T-Cell and NK-Cell Effects
The upcoming presentation will focus on T-cell and NK-cell immunomodulatory reprogramming associated with cemsidomide, a next-generation orally bioavailable MonoDAC® degrader targeting IKZF1/3, transcription factors that play an important role in multiple myeloma biology. The biomarker analysis comes from the CFT7455-1101 Arm B2 cohort of the Phase 1 trial and is designed to further characterize the biological effects of cemsidomide across the evaluated dose levels. The presentation is scheduled for September 25, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. BST, with Riadh Lobbardi, Ph.D., Senior Director of Translational Medicine at C4 Therapeutics, serving as presenter
C4 Therapeutics Advances Cemsidomide Development in RRMM
Cemsidomide is being developed as an investigational targeted protein degrader for multiple myeloma. According to C4 Therapeutics, data from the fully enrolled Phase 1 trial have demonstrated a differentiated safety and tolerability profile alongside potentially class-leading anti-myeloma activity. The company’s latest biomarker analysis is intended to expand understanding of how cemsidomide may influence the immune environment, particularly T-cell and NK-cell activity, supporting continued evaluation of the therapy in combination-based treatment strategies for patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.
C4 Therapeutics to Showcase New Data at IMS Annual Meeting
The new cemsidomide biomarker findings will be presented during the 23rd IMS Annual Meeting, taking place September 23–26, 2026, in Glasgow, Scotland. The presentation represents an upcoming clinical development milestone for C4 Therapeutics as the company continues advancing its targeted protein degradation programs in oncology. By evaluating the immune effects of cemsidomide alongside its anti-myeloma activity, the company aims to further define the therapeutic potential of its MonoDAC® platform and identify opportunities for combining targeted protein degradation with immune-based therapies in multiple myeloma.
