Orion Pharma has announced a strategic agreement with Shilpa Biologicals Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Shilpa Medicare Limited, to commercialize an intravenous (IV) nivolumab biosimilar across the European market. The partnership marks a significant step in expanding access to affordable oncology biologics while strengthening Orion’s presence in the hospital pharmaceutical segment across Continental Europe. Under the agreement, Orion will receive exclusive rights to distribute, market, and sell Shilpa’s investigational nivolumab biosimilar throughout Europe, while Shilpa will remain responsible for manufacturing and supplying the product. The collaboration also includes development and regulatory milestone payments to Shilpa, reinforcing the long-term strategic relationship between the two companies.
