LOTTE Biologics announced an expanded antibody manufacturing collaboration with Ottimo Pharma to support the development and commercialization of OTP-01, Ottimo Pharma’s investigational PD-1/VEGFR2 dual-paratopic antibody. The agreement strengthens the strategic relationship between the two companies and expands LOTTE Biologics’ role beyond manufacturing into commercial process development and characterization activities.
Expanded Partnership Supports OTP-01 Commercial Readiness
The collaboration builds on an earlier antibody development and manufacturing agreement signed between the companies in June 2025. Under the expanded partnership, LOTTE Biologics will support Ottimo Pharma’s efforts to advance OTP-01 toward potential commercialization readiness through its development team at the company’s Syracuse Bio Campus in New York.
OTP-01 is being developed as a next-generation biparatopic antibody targeting both PD-1 and VEGFR2, two critical pathways involved in cancer growth and immune suppression. Dual-target antibody therapies are attracting increasing attention in oncology because of their potential to improve treatment efficacy while overcoming resistance mechanisms associated with traditional immunotherapies.
LOTTE Biologics stated the continued engagement reflects Ottimo Pharma’s confidence in the company’s manufacturing quality, execution capabilities, and operational performance during earlier stages of development. The partnership also demonstrates growing demand for integrated CDMO services capable of supporting biotech companies from clinical-stage development through commercial manufacturing.
LOTTE Biologics Strengthens Global CDMO Position
As part of the agreement, LOTTE Biologics will leverage its dual-site global manufacturing strategy, which includes the Syracuse Bio Campus in the United States and the Songdo Bio Campus in South Korea. The company said this infrastructure provides operational flexibility, consistent manufacturing quality, and supply chain reliability for global biopharmaceutical clients.
James Park, Co-CEO of LOTTE Biologics, stated that the company aims to support the full lifecycle of client pipelines, helping accelerate therapies toward commercialization while maintaining scalability and quality standards. The company continues positioning itself as a global pure-play contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) focused on biologics and antibody therapeutics.
Ottimo Pharma also highlighted the importance of LOTTE Biologics’ rapid execution capabilities in helping the company initiate its ongoing Phase 1/2a clinical study for OTP-01 with industry-leading speed. According to Ottimo Pharma leadership, the expanded collaboration is expected to further accelerate development timelines as the antibody program advances.
Oncology Biologics Manufacturing Demand Continues Growing
The agreement reflects broader industry trends driving increased investment in oncology biologics manufacturing and specialized CDMO partnerships. As antibody-based cancer therapies become more complex, biotech companies are increasingly relying on external manufacturing partners with expertise in advanced biologics development, process optimization, and large-scale production.
Industry analysts view dual-target antibodies such as OTP-01 as a rapidly growing segment within cancer immunotherapy, particularly in the development of next-generation checkpoint inhibitor combinations. Strategic collaborations between biotech innovators and biologics CDMOs are becoming critical for accelerating clinical development and preparing promising oncology assets for future commercial launch.
