BioInvent International AB announced that it will host a key opinion leader (KOL) event in Stockholm and virtually on June 11, 2026, highlighting the latest clinical progress and commercial opportunities for its lead hematology programs, BI-1206 and BI-1808. The event will feature leading lymphoma experts discussing treatment challenges, unmet medical needs, and future opportunities in non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL). The company aims to provide updated insights into its first-in-class immunotherapy candidates that are currently advancing through Phase 1/2 clinical development.
BI-1206 Shows Potential to Overcome Rituximab Resistance in NHL
BioInvent will present new findings from the ongoing Phase 2a study of BI-1206, an FcγRIIB-blocking antibody designed to restore and enhance the effectiveness of rituximab-based therapies in relapsed or refractory NHL. Updated data will focus on the triple combination of BI-1206, rituximab, and AstraZeneca’s Calquence® (acalabrutinib), which has demonstrated encouraging clinical activity in patients with difficult-to-treat B-cell lymphomas. Patient enrollment has been completed across multiple countries, and the company believes the program could address a significant unmet need in patients who have developed resistance to existing therapies.
BI-1808 Advances as Novel TNFR2-Targeted Immunotherapy
The event will also highlight BI-1808, BioInvent’s first-in-class anti-TNFR2 antibody being evaluated in patients with advanced CTCL. Clinical data from the ongoing Phase 2a study have shown meaningful and durable responses both as a monotherapy and in combination with KEYTRUDA® (pembrolizumab). The therapy works by targeting TNFR2-expressing regulatory T cells within the tumor microenvironment, helping restore anti-tumor immune activity. Early findings demonstrating sustained clinical responses and immune activation continue to support BI-1808’s potential as a differentiated immunotherapy for hematologic cancers and solid tumors.
