U.S. Patent No. 12,714,780, issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on August 25, 2026, covers systems and methods designed to regulate treatment using real-time physiological feedback signals from targeted tissue and surrounding structures. The patent broadens Autonomix Medical’s technology protection around minimally invasive procedures that combine sensing, imaging, treatment delivery and feedback-based control, with applications that include neural ablation approaches intended to address cancer-related pain.
New Patent Strengthens Feedback-Guided Treatment Technology
Autonomix Medical’s newly issued patent describes medical systems incorporating a surgical instrument with one or more therapeutic delivery elements and a controller capable of adjusting treatment based on physiological information obtained from the targeted tissue region. A key aspect of the patent is the ability to control the quantity and delivery of therapeutic fluid according to its distribution within targeted tissue, potentially allowing treatment delivery to be adjusted based on real-time feedback. The patent also encompasses systems integrating imaging and sensing capabilities, creating a framework for more controlled intervention. Importantly, the protected applications include scenarios where the targeted tissue comprises a tumor and the delivered therapeutic fluid is configured to produce neural ablation to reduce cancer pain.
